ROLE DEFINITION

Maintenance departments are very dynamic and role changes take place on a regular basis. Management base their happiness of the maintenance department on production figures and plant uptime. It is essential to base long term health on the dynamics between people, process and continuous improvement principles – providing the sustainability required.

RACI MODEL

This model help to clarify communication lines, eliminate gaps and ensure all focus areas receive the necessary attention required to have a healthy organisation – maintenance, engineering & production.

ORGANISATIONAL DESIGN

Many organisations are faced with cost cutting exercises. Usually cutting heads is the easy way to achieve the set goals just to find the numbers increasing again a few months later. Outsourcing, co-sourcing, centralise and de-centralise is other terms mentioned during these exercises.
